What Happens on Your First Cleaning Visit

Your first cleaning visit follows the same five steps as every visit we make, from the quote to follow-up afterward. Here is what happens at each stage, what the team does in your home, and what you can do to make it go smoothly.

Before the Visit

1. You request a quote

Tell us about your home: size, bedrooms and bathrooms, when it was last professionally cleaned, pets and anything you want added. You can do this by phone or online, or ask for an in-home estimate. If the home needs a reset first, we will recommend a deep clean; if not, a standard clean.

2. We confirm the details

We confirm the scope, the date, any priority areas or add-ons, and how the team will get in. You don’t need to be home: a key, door or garage code, gate pass or lockbox all work. We also confirm payment: arrange a method at setup, or leave cash or a check.

Your part

Pick up clutter, settle pets somewhere safe, and note anything fragile or any rooms to skip. See how to prepare your home before the cleaners arrive.

During the Visit

3. The team cleans by checklist

The team brings professional supplies and equipment, including HEPA-filter vacuums, with eco-friendly products on request. They work room by room and top to bottom, so dust from fans and shelves is cleared before counters and floors. A standard clean covers the bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas on our checklist; a deep clean adds blinds, door tracks, the inside of the oven and fridge, cabinets inside and out, doors, behind movable furniture and steam-cleaned tile floors.

If you are home, point out your priorities at the start. If you work from home, let us know which room you will be in and we will plan around it.

4. Quality check

We review the work to make sure everything meets expectations before we consider the job complete. If you gave us entry instructions, the team locks up when they leave.

After the Visit

5. Follow-up

Walk through the home when you get a chance. If something was missed, tell us within 24 hours and we’ll come back to address it. See how to check the work after your first cleaning.

What comes next

If you are continuing with regular service, your next visits follow the standard checklist on the schedule you chose, weekly, bi-weekly or monthly, with no contracts. The same team cleans your home whenever possible, so they learn your preferences. To reschedule, give us at least 24 hours’ notice; with less notice, or if we can’t get in, the full price may be charged.

Common Questions

Do I need to be home?
