A deep clean costs more than a regular cleaning because it covers more ground and takes longer. What it costs for your home depends on a handful of factors, mainly the home’s size and its current condition. This guide explains what moves the price, so the quote you get makes sense. Why a Deep Clean Costs More Than a Regular Clean
A deep clean includes everything in a standard clean, plus blinds, sliding doors and tracks, the inside of the oven and fridge, cabinets inside and out, doors, behind and under movable furniture, and steam-cleaned tile floors. It also deals with buildup rather than surface dust: grease that needs cutting, soap scum that needs scrubbing. More tasks and more time per task mean a higher price. See what a deep clean includes.

What Sets the Price
Size and layout
Square footage, the number of bedrooms and especially the number of bathrooms set the baseline. Bathrooms and kitchens take the most time in a deep clean.
Condition
This is often the biggest factor. A home that was professionally cleaned a few months ago takes far less time than one that hasn’t been cleaned in a year, even with the same floor plan.
Time since the last professional clean
The longer the gap, the more buildup in the places regular cleaning doesn’t reach.
Pets, sand and clutter
Pet hair, beach sand in tracks and rugs, and clutter that has to be worked around all add time.
Add-ons
Indoor windows, linens, dishes, the lanai and the grill aren’t part of a deep clean and add to the price when you include them. See deep-cleaning add-ons and what costs extra.
Timing
Same-day requests may carry a surcharge.

Deep Clean, Standard Clean or Move-Out Clean
- Standard clean: the room-by-room checklist; the lowest price per visit, best on a regular schedule.
- Deep clean: the standard list plus detail items; a higher one-time price that resets the home.
- Move-in or move-out clean: done in an empty home, ready for the next owner or tenant. See move-in and move-out cleaning.

How to Get an Accurate Quote
Have this ready when you ask:
- Square footage, bedrooms and bathrooms
- When the home was last professionally cleaned
- Pets, and any areas that need special attention
- Any add-ons you want
- Your preferred date and whether you plan to continue with regular service
You can request a quote by phone or online, or ask for an in-home estimate so we can see the home first. Ask what’s included, what counts as an add-on, and what happens if something is missed. At Coastal Breeze Maids, if something was missed, tell us within 24 hours and we’ll come back to address it.
Ways to Keep the Cost Down
- Pick up clutter first so the team spends the time cleaning. See how to prepare before the cleaners arrive.
- Only add what you need. Skip add-ons that can wait.
- Follow with regular service. A maintained home rarely needs another full deep clean, and regular visits cost less per visit. See recurring cleaning.
- Ask about current offers. Large homes of 3,000 sq ft or more can take $150 off a deep clean with code clean150 (minimum order applies; one use per customer). New customers can instead take $100 off their first two cleans with code clean100. Codes can’t be combined.
Is It Worth It?
For a home that has fallen behind, a deep clean usually costs less over time than trying to catch up with regular visits. See when a deep clean’s extra cost pays off.
